PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position provides effective guidance to, and control of an Industrial Division Branch service operation, in a manner which contributes to company profit goals, maximizing customer satisfaction.  It develops and organizes an effective workforce to achieve overall branch objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage numerous TMR contracts utilizing manpower, and providing proper maintenance. Also provide customers with fixed cost and the company with fixed income.
  • Yearly budgeting process through sales projections vs. economic conditions. This provides guidance for business activity.
  • Responsible for building maintenance. This is done by locating and supervising contractors which service the Wilmington facility.  Maintain the building in a clean and repaired condition.
  • Manage preventative maintenance program by review/schedule PM-update of completions performed to generate service sales.
  • In-house rental sales/coordinator for industrial. Handles call-in rentals and coordinate all deliveries performed to generate additional rental sales.
  • Coordinates with Hyster- Yale and manages Self-Guided Vehicle System. Provides 24 hour support of these units.
  • Works with other department managers (i.e. Construction Service Manager and Parts Manager) to provide overall branch management and decision making for day to day operations.
  • Works with various departments within the company such as, Human Resources for personnel functions; Technical Services for warranty and service related problems; and the Credit Department for customer credit and collection.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High school graduate, prefer a technical/community college or four-year college graduate.

Work Experience:

High school graduate must have 2 years supervisor experience, with 4 years industrial service industry or similar product support/service experience; college graduate must have 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in a similar service industry. 

Other:

Need to know how to motivate and maintain productivity of employees.  Good customer relations is a must.
