PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Sell hydraulic services within a designated territory. Maximize market penetration while ensuring customer is satisfaction.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

Hydraulic Parts and Service Sales.

  1. Manage designated territory to include:
      1. Determine sales routes and frequency of sales calls. Transporting units to and from the customer is an integral part of the job. The number of sales call per day will be assigned based on territory geography and opportunity.
      2. Prospect and call upon no less than 5 new customers per day either physically or by phone.
      3. Coordinate with the appropriate shop to complete repairs in a reasonable and timely manner.
      4. Complete designated sales reports to include:
        1. Weekly Sales.
        2. Weekly Lost Sale
        3. Competitive Activity.

General

  1. Improve technical knowledge and selling skills through seminars, classes, and self-improvement research.
  2. Complete and submit expense report by the first of each month.
  3. Maintain a current forklift certification.
  4. Ensure assigned vehicle is properly maintained and operated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

High school graduate with a high sales aptitude and ability to comprehend mechanical concepts.

 

Work Experience:

At least two years experience, preferably in a mechanical repair or parts service operation with similarly related customer service.

 

Physical:

Must be able to drive for long periods on a daily basis.

Must be able to safely load and unload hydraulic components manually (periodically lift up to 50 pounds) and with mechanical devices (forklifts and hoists).

 

Other:

Must have a current North Carolina Driver's License with a good driving record.

Must have basic P.C. keyboarding and software skills, preferably with MS Outlook and Excel.
