Provides additional coordination and assistance to the Human Resources Department by conducting specific projects and providing various administrative support as needed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

PROJECT COORDINATION: Estimated Time Spent = 50%

  • Plans, leads and coordinates all the monthly New Hire On-Boardingprogram activities
  • Fully coordinates and administers the Associate Seniority Award Program
  • Will administer all Educational Assistance and Matching Educational Donation fund programs
  • Will lead and coordinate our monthly Performance Review program logistics and processing.
  • Leads on communicating and advising on our Educational Scholarship Program
  • Leads and coordinates various, annual HR Department activities to include but not be limited to; various company fund drives, Food Trucks scheduling, Blood Drives, Flu Shot Clinics, etc.
  • Provides 401K withdrawal forms administrative support and processing.

RECRUITING: Estimated Time Spent = 20%

  • Maintains our job posting information for our GPEC Website and other external job postings
  • Co-develops and places all recruitment advertisement in various newspapers, trade publications and other media
  • Directly supports recruiters by scheduling candidate interviews
  • Coordinates and administers skills assessment activities (testing) with candidates.
  • Performs reference checking on leading candidates for employment

CAREER MARKETING: Estimated Time Spent = ~ 5%

  • Inventories and orders the recruitment marketingpromo materials for future recruitment activities and events.
  • Researches and identifies key and new institutionsorganizations for recruiting candidates.
  • Periodically, distributes GPEC Career "marketing packets" to the local institutions' direct contacts.
  • May periodically attend and participate in career fairs especially at high schools.

OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVIES: Estimated Time Spent = 15%

  • Provides routine daily (ampm breaks & lunch) and lead emergency or vacation SwitchboardReceptionist operational coverage
  • Leads on providing employment verifications for both current and former associates.
  • May assist in information copying and distribution as occasionally requested
  • Coordinates the HR Department mail to staffers

TRAINING: Estimated Time Spent = 5%

  • Plans, develops, coordinates and facilitates some "in-house" HR related training programs/topics/workshops, facility tours.

BOOKKEEPING: Estimated Time Spent = 5%

  • Processes most all HR Department expense.
  • Coordinate all credit union loans with our Associates.
  • Completes all Associate employment /credit verification requests for loans or mortgages.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: Estimated Time Spent = <5%

  • Helps refer Associates to the appropriate HR Staffer to respond to specific requests.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High School graduate, or a two or four-year college graduate

Work Experience:

A high school graduate needs at least two years similar business administrative working experiences, or a two-year college graduate, preferably in HR, office administration or bookkeeping, with at least six months similar business administrative working experiences, or a recent four-year college graduate preferably with HR studies concentration.

Physical:

Must be able to sit and work for extended periods

Have ability to clearly speak and hear especially by telephone

Must be able to lift on occasions various work items up to 25 pounds

Must be mobile enough to move around the facility to perform various projects and work assignments

Other:

Ability to effectively and cooperatively communicate with internal and external customers; Must have intermediate skill in word processing and spread sheet, preferably MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
